Hi there, I'm Shani Bohlin
I’m a wife, a middle-aged mom of two adult boys and three Labradors, a nurse, and an entrepreneur of a home health business in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Family is my passion, and I always strive to ensure that my family members are safe and thriving. This includes my 77-year-old dad and 75-year-old mom, as well as my 98-year-old grandmother.
It is inevitable. We will all have aging parents. Many of us are caring for children and our aging parents, and let’s not forget about taking care of ourselves. Welcome to what is called “The Sandwich Generation.” The balance of this can be so challenging, but the key is PREPARATION!
After working as a nurse with geriatric patients for over 15 years and as the owner of Blue Skies Nursing, an eldercare home health company, I see families in crisis daily due to a lack of preparation as their parents age.
TalkElder was created to help adult children navigate, anticipate, and plan for the inevitable as their parents live out their final chapters.
By looking ahead, we can prevent crises and allow these chapters to be full of vitality, dignity, and choice for your loved ones with ease and peace of mind.
My hope is to share with you all that I’ve learned and am learning by working through this with my own family and client’s families.
